The horse is an important, integrated aspect of the Navajo culture. When
you are in the midst of our horses, you are directly participating in our
cultural experience. Our professional
horseback guides are available from morning to sunset offering private
trail rides. Our guides will expertly match you with a horse based on your

Starting at the stables inside the Tribal Park (a location in the
movie, "The Searchers"), the trail ride heads North to the
east face of Sentinel Mesa and then turns to the floor of the West
Mitten. Beginners to Experienced Riders.

The Teardrop Arch
2-3 hour trail ride (located outside the
Tribal
Park) ascends a narrow trail to the top of the mesa where a secluded
area of Horseshoe Canyon awaits. We spend a leisurely time engulfing the
ambience of the Teardrop Arch backcountry. Engaging the essence of
Teardrop Arch we pause to take in the resplendent vista that rewards all
whom take the journey. Truly the best view and experience of Monument
Valley, absolutely memorable! Experienced riders, this trail ascends via
a narrow trail along the face of the mesa. Those with issues pertaining
to heights are advised to try a different ride. This trail is also
available as a walking/hiking tour. Experienced riders who are not
afraid of heights.
